I was asked to participate in a panel discussion on the state of the union and our local community as part of the October 29, 2017, broadcast of the show Black Almanac – which is the longest airing, locally produced, public affairs program in the Southeastern United States. It celebrates it’s 45th anniversary this year!
The diverse panel consisted of four middle school and four high school students speaking out on today’s current events. Dr. Ed James is the show’s producer and host, and he was joined by Sarasota mayor, Shelli Freeland Eddie. They both did an amazing job moderating the discussion. I was honored to be part of this very insightful program. I wish Black Almanac many, many more years of making quality, local programming!
